FPU Contract - PhD student

CRISTIAN BARÓN is PhD student at Universidad de Zaragoza. He has a background in the decarbonization of energy-intensive industries, with a particular focus on the iron and steel sector. His Bachelor’s Thesis, which explored the decarbonization of the glassmaking industry through Power-to-Gas technologies, was recognized with an award from the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation. He is currently pursuing his PhD under a FPU (Formación del Profesorado Universitario) contract, with his doctoral research framed within the DEC-I&S and DIS-HYCOME projects, both aimed at advancing low-carbon solutions in industrial processes. 

Main research interests: Industrial decarbonization, Iron & Steel, Blast Furnace route, Power to Gas, methanation, carbon capture system.
