JORGE LEGAZ is a graduate of the Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has been collaborating with the Energy and CO₂ research group for the past two years, focusing on methanation technologies. During the 2024/2025 academic year, he worked under a competitive collaboration grant awarded by the Spanish Government. His research has centered on the development of both kinetic and heat transfer models for methanation reactors, which he validated and calibrated using experimental data. His BEng Thesis explored the decarbonization of the iron and steel industry through the integration of biomass and Power-to-Gas technologies.
Main interests: Power-to-X, Biomass implementation in energy-intensive industries, Energy efficiency.
