The University of Zaragoza has officially launched the latest edition of its inspiring outreach campaign, “Soy Científica. Vivo en tu barrio” (I am a scientist. I live in your neighborhood), in the framework of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
This initiative aims to break gender stereotypes and bridge the gap between science and society by featuring large-scale photographs of real female researchers on advertising panels (mupis) across the city’s streets. The core message is clear: scientists are not distant figures in white coats, but everyday women who live in our own neighborhoods and contribute actively to our communities.
Spotlight on the Energy and CO2 Group: Eva Llera
This year, we are especially proud to announce the participation of Eva Llera, a prominent researcher from the Energy and CO2 Group.
Her presence in this city-wide campaign not only highlights the crucial research being conducted in the fields of energy transition and decarbonization, but also provides a strong, relatable role model for young girls interested in engineering, sustainability, and applied sciences.
Keep an eye out for Eva and the rest of the brilliant scientists on your daily commute through Zaragoza!
