Cristian Barón has successfully completed a one-month pre-doctoral research stay at the Silesian University of Technology, funded by the Cost Action TrANsMIT as a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM). The host institution includes a methanation reactor with similar characteristics to the test rig built by the group in 2016, but additionally being able to operate at higher pressures. The goal of this stay was to perform methanation experiments at high pressure, to compare them with equivalent atmospheric pressure test at ECO2LAB, and to build a kinetic model which accounts for the pressurization of the system.
We would like to thank Anna Skorek-Osikowska and Daria Katla for their unvaluable guidance during the mission and their warm hospitality, as well as the COST Action TrANsMIT for the funding.
