The DIS-HYCOME project proposes the decarbonization of Iron and Steel industry based on blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace route by means of substituting part of the fossil fuel fed to the blast furnace by renewable hydrogen or synthetic methane. DIS-HYCOME project aims to design, model and quantify efficiency, economic feasibility and environmental impact of three novel concepts of low-emission BF-BOF process.
