LUIS I. DÍEZ is Full Professor of Energy Technology at Universidad de Zaragoza. He has extensively worked on oxy-fuel combustion and emissions-reducing technologies, encompassing modelling and experimental activities. Prof. Díez is currently co-Principal Investigator of the project BioxSteel. So far, he has participated in more than 40 research projects and contracts, and co-authored more than 90 contributions to international journals and conferences. He is currently co-Principal investigator of the ECO2Lab research Group and was formerly the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Universidad de Zaragoza.

Main research interests: Oxy-fuel combustion, Biomass combustion, BECCS, NOx control technologies for solid-fired systems.
