Sara Pascual Sevilla

PhD Assistant Professor

SARA PASCUAL is a PhD Assistant Professor at Universidad de Valladolid. She has a broad background on net-zero carbon energy systems: bioenergy carbon capture and thermochemical energy storage technologies. Her Bachelor’s Final Project on carbon capture in livestock waste recovery systems was awarded with honors by the Spanish PTECO2. Sara is currently researcher in the projects DEC-I&S and DIS-HYCOME. She obtained her PhD in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency in 2023 at  Universidad de Zaragoza. 

Main research interests: Calcium looping technology for carbon capture and thermochemical energy storage, BECCS, decarbonization of iron and steel industry by Power to Gas and carbon capture systems.
