The Energy and CO2 Group recently hosted a research seminar led by Daria Katla, a visiting researcher from the Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Poland. This session marked the conclusion of her research stay at the University of Zaragoza.
During the seminar, Katla presented the core capabilities of her research group in Poland and provided a comprehensive overview of her past and current project portfolio. The highlight of the presentation was the discussion of the promising results achieved within the ambitious “Net-Zero Poland” project. This initiative, coordinated by Prof. Anna Skorek, is a major international collaboration with Princeton University, featuring key contributions from world-renowned experts such as Eric Larson.
Daria Katla’s stay with our group was made possible through funding from the MINIATURA project, granted by the National Science Centre (NCN) of Poland. Such international exchanges are vital for strengthening synergies between the University of Zaragoza and European centers of excellence, driving forward technological solutions for the energy transition and climate neutrality.
The Energy and CO2 Group would like to thank Daria for her dedication and the high quality of the work shared during this month. We look forward to the future collaborations between SUT and Unizar that this visit has set in motion.
